About Grumpas Driving School

Local roots. Safety-focused instruction. Personal attention.

Grumpas Driving School was created to give Lincoln and surrounding communities access to quality local driver education.

Our story

Adam and Jessy Alexander started Grumpas Driving School after seeing a need in Lincoln and the surrounding communities for a local driver education program that gives students quality instruction close to home.

The name Grumpas honors two important people in their families: Adam’s dad, Allan Alexander, and Jessy’s grandfather, Robert “Bob” Butler Sr. The school reflects the values they wanted to carry forward — safety, responsibility, and helping others.

Adam Alexander — Owner / Instructor

Adam grew up in the Lincoln area. His experience as a truck driver and EMT helped shape a strong focus on risk awareness, responsible choices, and safe driving habits. His instruction is practical, calm, supportive, and centered on helping students learn from mistakes and build confidence.

Jessy Alexander — Owner

Jessy has spent much of her career supporting students and brings a student-focused perspective to the values behind Grumpas Driving School. While she does not handle day-to-day instruction, her support and commitment to the local community remain an important part of the business.
